Why we built it
Stop bots from spamming shared Twitch chat
We started with a Streamerbot workflow using a custom account. Without the official bot badge, Twitch treated that account like a regular user, so when shared chat was on, any automation risked posting into every connected channel instead of just the one we meant to reach.
The badge is not cosmetic. It tells Twitch to sandbox your bot traffic. That prevents accidental cross-channel posts, keeps moderation actions scoped correctly, and makes it clear to viewers and other bots that the account is automated.
